What is meant by the simulation based triggering?

Standard triggering mode is simulation mode. In this mode the inbuilt triggering system generates the shock wave at a predefined time interval, irrespective of the heart rate or respiration rate. In simulation mode, the physician can set the trigger rate from a range of 60 to 80 shock waves per minute (in step of 5). The rate of triggering is controlled from the knob on the control panel.
